For those of you who have used Dreamweaver or Frontpage before you know that you don’t always get what you want when it comes to webpages. They’re tough to make compatible for all the “web standards” that are out there. If they were standards don’t you think they would be standard across all browsers?
Well now Microsoft has come out with their newest stab at building webpages called Microsoft Expression. You can download the beta trial version from the link above and take it for a test drive yourself.
Although I haven’t used Microsoft Expression I doubt that it will be the end all be all to web standard publishing. It’s tough to track what all browsers are doing to your pages at all times and from the looks of what IE7 does to most pages these days, I don’t think Microsoft would have figured that out with this software.
However, it’s worth a shot since XHTML, CSS, and java interactive elements are becomming the norm, you’ll need to find a standard design element that helps you build your pages quickly and easily.
